AWS Solutions Architect Engineer

Introduction:

Join our innovative team as an AWS Solutions Architect Engineer to lead our efforts in migrating existing infrastructure and applications to AWS. You will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and robust solutions on AWS, guiding the transition from on-premise architectures  to the cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AWS solutions for migrating applications, databases, and services from an on-premises environment to AWS.

• Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand their needs and provide AWS-based solutions.
• Conduct architectural and engineering reviews of proposed IT investments/solutions to determine the strategic alignment and technical soundness.
• Offer guidance on architecture and system design and ensure compliance with AWS best practices.
• Ensure solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
• Collaborate with application developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure strategic and tactical goals are met.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support in the deployment of complex applications in AWS.
• Evaluate existing applications and services to determine the technical debt and the best migration path to AWS.
• Prepare architectural diagrams and technical specifications to assist in planning and decision-making.
• Assist with cost/benefit modeling and create compelling business cases for migration.
• Support AWS implementations and Migration.
• Support existing clients AWS infrastructure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minimum GPA of 3.3 or at least 2 years’ experience focused on AWS environments.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional preferred.
• Strong experience in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud-based and/or cloud-native solutions.
• Proven track record of successful migration of enterprise applications to AWS.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Route53, AWS Security, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.
• Significant experience in DevOps practices and tools in a cloud environment, demonstrating capabilities in CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and configuration management.
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, Java, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong technical background and a forward-thinking approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.

Skills:
1. In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, services, and best practices.
2. Experience in designing highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
3. Proficiency in cloud architecture and deployment on AWS.
4. Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and storage solutions within AWS.
5. Ability to assess and troubleshoot complex technical issues within AWS environments.
6. Experience with automation tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
7. Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
8. AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional are a plus.
