Job Description

  • Supervising day to day operations of the technical team
  • Establish and ensure departmental controls
  • Establishes and maintain departmental performance standards and ensure timely reporting of these metrics
  • Maintains and promotes positive company relationships with insurers, reinsurers, reinsurance brokers and other stakeholders.
  • Manage Existing Renewals by Maintaining and updating the Renewals Register and keep updating the GM about lapsed policies
  • Issue regular monthly and/or ad hoc underwriting /claims or other technical reports as required
  • Update with new Insurance products and Insurers
  • Improve the under of insurance through reading and engaging in discussions
  • Taking active role of engaging with team members and participate in company activities

Requirements

  • The person must have people management experience and demonstrate the skills of an effective people manager.
  • Direct supervisory experience of staff in these areas is a must.
  • Sound written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to build strong business relations
  • Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • The ability to work accurately, with attention to details
  • Strong time management skills to ensure multiple tasks simultaneously are completed within compressed timeframes
